Iguazú, Iguazú, Igua
The Iguazú Falls, one of the planet's most extensive waterfall systems, spans over 270 distinct cascades across 2.7 kilometers. Surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest, these falls present a captivating display of nature's grandeur and magnificence. Split into Argentine and Brazilian sections, each offers a distinct viewpoint of the awe-inspiring scenery.
In addition to marveling at the falls, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in various excursions exploring the natural marvels of Iguazú. Adrenaline-pumping boat trips bring adventurers right to the heart of the roaring falls, providing a thrilling perspective on their immense power. Guided treks through the jungle offer chances to encounter the rich diversity of plant and animal life thriving in this dynamic ecosystem. Whether traversing the trails on foot or embarking on a birdwatching adventure, every expedition ensures unique encounters with the one of a kind Iguazú landscapes.
What you’ll do
Getting there
The Puerto Iguazú airport (IGR) has daily flights from Buenos Aires and other major Argentine cities. From there, both Awasi and Pristine offer private transfers that take you straight into the rainforest.
What starts as a drive becomes part of the experience: red clay roads, dense green, tropical humidity.
Stay
Tucked deep in the jungle, Awasi Iguazú offers fourteen private villas , each with its own guide and 4WD vehicle, allowing you to tailor each day to your rhythm and interests. Private plunge pools, exclusive jungle trails, refined cuisine inspired by Guaraní traditions and tropical ingredients. Awasi is about time, privacy, and flawless attention to detail.
Another jungle experience is Pristine Iguazú, a boutique lodge surrounded by lush vegetation , beautifully designed and thoughtfully run. With a strong sense of place, attentive service, and true immersion in nature,
Both stays take you far from the crowds and into a quieter, deeper Iguazú.
Worth Knowing
We recommend staying at least three nights to fully experience both sides of the falls and enjoy your time at the lodge.
The Argentine side offers immersive jungle trails and close-up views, while the Brazilian side delivers breathtaking panoramas — both are worth seeing. Iguazú isn’t just one waterfall but a network of over 270, stretching nearly 3 kilometers.
The climate is tropical and humid year-round, so pack light, breathable clothing along with rain gear. You’ll be surrounded by rich biodiversity: toucans, butterflies, coatis, orchids, and towering trees are all part of the landscape. Beyond the falls, there are also boat rides, jungle walks, and cultural experiences that can be tailored to your interests.
